Countdown begins to Stephenie Meyer's "Breaking Dawn"
Harry, who? Following in the wake of Harry Potter mania, now many fans are excited for the release of Stephenie Meyer's fourth and final book in the Twilight series, "Breaking Dawn."
The book comes out Aug. 2, and libraries and bookstores everywhere will be holding "Breaking Dawn" release parties Aug. 1, including at Borders and Barnes & Noble. The Twilight series follows the life of teenager Isabella, who moves to a small town and ends up falling in love with a vampire, Edward, and also develops a friendship with a werewolf, Jacob.
Meyer also will attend four story-and-song events, accompanied by Blue October singer/songwriter Justin Furstenfeld, in August in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. Unfortunately, all are listed as sold out, although some are being sold on sites like eBay, ranging from $80-$399 for two tickets. (Painful.)
* 8/1 - New York City @ Nokia Theatre at Times Square * 8/5 - Chicago @ Harris Theater * 8/7 - Los Angeles @ Royce Hall * 8/12 - Seattle @ Benaroya Hall *
And while "Breaking Dawn" is the last in the series, Meyer is working on a companion novel, "Midnight Sun," a version of "Twilight" from Edward's perspective. The first chapter can be found on Meyer's Web site.
Plus, the movie version of "Twilight," the first book in the series, will be in theaters Dec. 12 of this year. The cast includes Kristen Stewart ("Jumper," "Into the Wild") as Isabella Swan; Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies) as Edward Cullen and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black.

Love the article! Thanks for posting! ;D
Quote #13 Rosalie: “Over my pile of ashes.”
Rosalies still the same as ever haha, i like how its different to an expression normal people would say, which would be 'over my dead body' which of course we know is kind of already true with vamps so it's said differently haha

A message from Stephanie:
"We only have a few days until the release of Breaking Dawn. To reward all of you for being so patient, I have confirmed exclusively with Entertainment Weekly one thing that happens in Breaking Dawn — and it will be posted at EW.com on Monday. As you all know, I’m against spoilers, but I know there is a desire for ANYTHING about the book. But please proceed to EW.com with caution. This is truly the only thing I am comfortable with being out before August 2nd, so this in no way gives anybody free reign to post spoilers. Let’s keep the rest of the book secret — we can do it!"
–Steph
I can't wait for Monday now!

Yay, the spoilers out! Biggish SpoilerIts good news for Bella/Edward, as Stephanie has confirmed that Bella and Edward DO get married, its not a dream sequence, and that its early in the book! and the possibility of Jacob/Bella because of the wedding is pretty much gone! Quote from article- "Team Jacob, you staged a valiant effort, urging Bella to choose her faithful, strangely muscular friend instead of her sexy, hairless vampire. But Meyer, clapping her hands and bobbing on her toes, reveals that she had the great fun of writing Bella and Edward's wedding scene. ''And it's not a dream sequence!'' Meyer promises with a laugh. ''It's the actual wedding between Edward and Bella. The wedding! I'm a girly girl so it's something I've been waiting for too.'' Before anyone throws their computer out their bedroom window, screaming that the surprise of the summer has now been ruined for them, Meyer promises that the wedding takes place early on in Breaking Dawn. Trust that unexpected thrills still await."Heres the link- Entertainment weekly: Stephenie reveals a Breaking dawn spoiler

The Secret Life of Vampires: Q&A with Stephanie!
"Breaking Dawn," the final book in the mega-successful "Twilight" series, about a sexy vampire named Edward and the girl who loves him, goes on sale Aug. 2. Author Stephenie Meyer talked to Susan Elgin about books, boys and blood:
Edward is so perfect—you've ruined regular men for a lot of teens. Do you feel bad? Oh, a little bit, I guess. I just wanted to write for myself, a fantasy. And that's what Edward is. But it could be a good thing, too. There's nothing wrong with having high expectations, right?
Has there ever been an Edward in your life? No, no, I wish. I've had very typical, normal, human relationships my whole life.
No vampires? No, none of that goofy, swoony stuff. I was always a little grown-up for my age.
How do you kill your version of vampires? If you tear them apart, they can be reassembled. But you can't burn them while they're still together because, well, obviously they can run faster than that. You must tear them apart and then burn them, to be sure.
That's pretty graphic. Yeah, they're actually really flammable once you rip them apart. The venom is flammable.
You've really thought this through. I've had to. You wouldn't believe the questions I get. People want to know every single detail. You know, I majored in English, not biology.
How much fan mail do you get? An overwhelming amount. In the last five years I've struggled against the idea of having an assistant. I like control. I like to have my hands on things and know what's going on. Finally I've given in. When I get an assistant, the first thing I'd like to do is get the fan-mail situation in some kind of order. Right now it's just big bins full of fan mail everywhere you look. It's horrible.
But isn't that gratifying? It is, and it isn't. It's a huge source of guilt. If I could stop time I would sit down and write everyone a three-page letter. There's just no physical way for me to do that, so I feel awful. It's great that people are that excited, but it's hard that I can't respond.
Last question: how does it end? Good try. You had to ask, right?

Yeah it does seem like the surprises Stephenie has mentioned will involve the werewolves, because of the quote she released from Sam - quote #15, and im sure Jacob will be involved in it, judging by how Bella mentions him in the first chapter, and the mystery of him going missing and everything.
Im just so happy with how near the book is now! ;D One week today for us! This time next week i might have already read Edward and Bella wedding because im going to try to get to borders for opening time- 9am, even though its gunna kill me because ill have to get up so early lol [and yeah i plan to read all day next monday lol]
