- The song "They'll Never Know" By Ross Coppermen also plays during Lucas and Brooke's break up at the beginning of the season.
- Craig Sheffer is credited as a "special guest star" for the second time this season in this episode.
- The scenes when Lucas is talking to Peyton by the fountain, the one where Peyton is talking to Nathan, and the one with Lucas and Nathan was filmed where some of the episodes of Dawson's Creek were filmed because both shows filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
- Lucas: You've got to be kidding me. Again?
Peyton: I guess. Lucas: Huh. Doesn't look like anything's wrong. You sure it won't start? Peyton? Peyton: Oh, the car is fine. I was just feeling sentimental about the first time we spoke. This scene mimics the scene in the Pilot episode where Peyton's car broke down, and Lucas went to go tow it. This was the first time he and Peyton had a real conversation, and this is what Peyton is referring to when she is talking about the first time they spoke.
- When Nathan mentions having a rematch to Lucas, he referring to season one's pilot episode in which Lucas beat him in a one on one game, allowing Lucas to join the Ravens basketball team.
To add, he was actually referring to season 3, when they played for their friendship, and Nathan won 11-0. That's why he said "Scared you're gonna get worked?"
- The season ends with a still shot of Nathan and Lucas, playing one-on-one on the Rivercourt, similar to the same last shot in the pilot episode.
