Taylor Swift Fun Facts:
1. At 11, Taylor Swift took her demo of karaoke songs door-to-door in Nashville. "My mom waited in the car while I knocked on doors up and down Music Row," she recalled to EW. "I would say, 'Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm 11. I want a record deal. Call me.'"
2. Taylor Swift's breakout hit, "Tim McGraw," was inspired by her ex-boyfriend. "He bought the album and said he really loved it, which is sweet," she told USA Today. "His current girlfriend isn't too pleased with it, though."
3. Taylor Swift is the youngest person ever to solely write and sing a No. 1 country song, "Our Song."
4. Taylor Swift considers 13 her lucky number. "It shows up in really great places," she told the Houston Chronicle. "At the Country Music Awards, I was seated in the 13th row. My album went gold in 13 weeks. I was born on the 13th. It's a good number for me."
5. The first thing Taylor Swift did when she turned 18: "I registered to vote online in my pajamas."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - If Taylor Swift didn't get enough excitement this week with her two Country Music Television awards, she got another shot when she learned she'd be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine's "The Best of Rock 2008" issue.
"Am I dreaming? Somebody pinch me, because I cannot believe what has happened this week!" Swift told The Associated Press on Friday, the day the magazine hit newsstands.
"To say it's overwhelming does not even cover it. I was so blown away by such an incredible night at the CMT awards, and then to find out the next day that I'm on the cover of Rolling Stone with Madonna, Bono and Springsteen! No way. I am completely in awe."
Swift is the only country artist included in the magazine's "Best of Rock" issue.
"The 18-year-old country-pop sensation — a one-time Abercrombie and Fitch model raised on a Christmas tree farm in rural Pennsylvania — is equally appealing to tween girls (who can relate to TRL-dominating songs like 'Teardrops on My Guitar') and grown men (those legs)," reads the article under the heading "Best Country Lolita."
"I don't care how people look at me," Swift told Rolling Stone. ''As long as they look at me."
At Monday's CMT awards, Swift won video of the year and female video for her smash "Our Song," a tune she wrote in the 9th grade for a talent show.
She leads the field of female nominees for next month's Academy of Country Music Awards with three nominations: top female vocalist, album of the year and top new female vocalist.
Swift's 2006 self-titled debut, on which she wrote or co-wrote all 11 songs, has sold nearly 3 million copies.

Taylor Swift graces the June 2008 cover of Seventeen, on newsstands May 6th. The 18-year-old singer/songwriter opened up to the mag about dealing with bad friendships, being cheated on and where she gets inspiration for her songs. Here are a few of the interview highlights:
On being famous in her hometown of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania: “I was actually playing a sold-out show in my hometown, and I was signing autographs afterward. And I saw those girls who didn’t invite me to their parties and didn’t invite me to hang out with them. They waited in line for three hours to say hi to me. That’s where I have to look at this situation and say, ‘We were kids.’ At some point, you have to forget about grudges because they only hurt.”
On turning painful real-life situations into good songwriting: “Well, I wrote ‘Should’ve Said No,’ about a guy who cheated on me. There’s always that moment where you’re like, ‘He says he’s not gonna do it again, he says he’s sorry, and, oh, look how sorry he is!’ But they’re not sorry. If they cheated on you, then you didn’t matter enough for them to be thinking about you while it was happening. So what does it matter if he apologizes after the fact? And at some point, you realize that you do not deserve to be treated like that. I decided I didn’t want to be that girl.”
On why she’s proud to be unique: “Everybody looks in the mirror and is like, ‘I wonder why her eyes are huge and mine are smaller.’ But I realized that if you’re lucky enough to be different from everyone else, don’t change.”
