I think it's great that in this episode they set it up with the words from the title of the episode. My favorite ting was that each scene changed with a word or theme from the previous. It was interesting and noticeable. But then again, it kept everything flowing, and we had a lot to see from the past four weeks.
I think alot of things made sense to me and a lot of things confused me more...
Like....
Why did Lucas go out with his Mom and Andy for a month, and not follow Lindsay right away if he knew he wanted her back?
Why is Dan hiding his visits to Jamie from Nathan and Haley?
Why doesn't Peyton just try one last time to tell Lucas how she feels...and then LET GO?
Do these make sense to anyone else? I just hope that if LL get back together, P will let go. Then she can move on. If they don't get back togther, I think one more attept to tell him how she feels is in order, and then she needs to let go. If he doesn't start to come back to her soon, I don't think he ever will. I think he needs to know there is no chance with him and Lindsay before he would ever even think about Peyton like that again...and I think that is they way it should be.
Other thoughts???

Yeah this episode did leave lots of unanswered questions, but it was great as it opened a few new plots, that was my biggest question what you said meg, why did lucas wait a whole month before doing something? surley it wouldnt take that long haha Along with the reference to the title you said i noticed something else as well (not sure if you meant this with what you said or not)- but each of the words identified to one of the characters in someway (all this sounds kind of cheesy? haha)- Echoes= Nathan and Haley, its kind of like there old lives are echoeing back, like there problems are only slowly fading away until they speak out and solve it (kind of like with an echo) Silence= Lucas, he had to get away just to the quiet to think things through, generally to the 'silence' Patience= Peyton, Max said to her that she needs patience with Lucas, (this also kind of matches Lucas in waiting for lindsay) Grace= brooke, she needed to have grace to prove that she would be a good candidate to adopt, it wasnt proving she was rich, but just that she could love a child

Kind of what I meant, but you explained it better in words than I ever could have Emma. Thanks for that, Haha.
But yes...I liked that and then I liked that they used those four words through out the episode. But my favorite part was the scene transitions.
Like using one word to move it, or using a theme, such as a basketball when it goes from Dan throwing the ball to the kid to Nathan talking about basketball. Make sense?

Yeah i get you, i loved that about the episode too It generally was really great writing- the whole episode was ...and although the episode wasnt quite the most exciting of the season.. (it kind of was more of a filler if you get me) despite that the episode was still so great I think oth needed an episode like it ;D

I agree...it needed a fill in to cover all story lines after the madness of Episode 12. I think the next few will be face paced, lots happening too but more exciting.

I agree with everything that has been said about the episode already and to be honest, I didn't noticed the combining with the title of the episode, but now it makes sense to me!
There was also something else for me in this episode that really got me and that was the voice over. It started and I think that after the first few words Make a wish.... and put it in your heart tears were already falling down on my cheeks. And this was the first time that I really cried by One Tree Hill. I get tears in my eyes many times, but now I really cried. Because for some weird reason, every time I'm struggling with something and I have a hard time, I watch an episode of One Tree Hill (and I don't pick that episode out, I just take the next one or the new one) and it just hits me and give me the message that I need at that moment. And that's what made this episode for me so special. I'm not sure yet, but I think this voice-over takes the first place in my top from now on. It was just so beautiful and it really was like how the whole episode was, with the different scenes and they ALL got a piece of the voice-over, and that's special too!

Yeah, the voiceover was great, but it didn't hit me that way. But it gave me hope for the next few episodes.

Yea i thought the voice-over was good but it didnt hit me the way it hit you anna, i guess it effects us all in different ways and i'm glad that it helps you anna. I watched an interview with Mark Schwan once where he said that if he could help one person with this show then HIS dreams had come true. It made me think that maybe that was the wish locked in his heart and that that's why he chose to be in this episode. I think that he has changed the lives of so many people with One Tree Hill and should be SO proud!

Some of the episodes are so small compared to others, but I think this one really hit home with some people. It was not the best on ever, but it was still meaningful in the characters lives and in the lives of the viewers.
