Random, but I swear the twilight books are getting so much more popular here! I mean, yesterday i was in waterstones, and they had promotional posters and postcards for breaking dawn They literally had a whole section for twilight! Including one bit that had the books and said 'if you liked the twilight series we also recommend..' and there was loads of books underneath! Plus they're all in the bestsellers section also And in borders they literally had the paperback eclipse promoted everywhere, with the twilight books also having their own shelf and them also being in the section which they call 'our favourites' twilight was 1st Just wondering how much have you all noticed the books where you live? Are they like promoted a lot and everyone knows them or not at all, and no ones heard of them?

I was not really looking for them, and then saw them in the corner of a shelf at our walmart, and then the next week when I went to buy them...there were tons more and on a rack of their own!

haha, I haven't seen Twilight in stores here yet. So for me it's kind of not surprising that it's not populiar here. Most of the times, childeren books don't get much attention. Harry Potter gets by posters around the time that they come out, but now they are just on the shelfs between the rest of the childeren books. And for the other books, we have a top 10 promotion line in our store that gives the top 10 of most bought books. And we have a few tables where books get more attention, but other than that we just have a lot of shelfs were people can look for a book themself. So most of the times, they find a book that they like by 'acident' or they read about it in a magazine or something like that.

Wow, it's so cute!! I love it!! Just too bad of the end, that part sucks!!
I just realised that I might be able to go to parties like that, I don't know, but I'm on my holiday when the book comes out, so maybe they will realise it big time there... I hope so!

Outtakes!Sometimes, in the editing process, sacrifices must be made. Some parts are cut because they slow down the action, others are cut simply to condense length, others are cut to simplify the plot. And, whatever the reason behind the removal, some cuts are more painful than others. This page is dedicated to the cuts that I miss the most. Remember, these are taken straight from the rough draft. They are embarrassingly unpolished, and there might be things that are a little confusing. (For example, Rosalie wasn't always as antagonistic as she is now—her character evolved and defined itself in the editing process.) Anyway, don't expect too much, and enjoy! Twilight: Badminton: www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/twi_outtakes_badminton.pdfOriginal Chapter 20 "Flight" a.k.a. Shopping with Alice: www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/twi_outtakes_shopping.pdfEmmett and the Bear: www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/twi_outtakes_emmett.pdfExtended Prom Remix: www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/twi_outtakes_promremix.pdf New Moon OuttakesCome, gentle night; come, loving, black-browed night; Give me my Romeo; and, when I shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine That all the world will be in love with night...—Romeo and Juliet Act III scene ii This quote was the original epigraph for New Moon. Why did it change? As I spent more time with the book, I decided I wanted the epigraph to be more representative of danger and potential heartbreak. Though this quote also has some nice foreshadowing, I had to choose—the romance or the warning? I went with the warning. That's how outtakes are made—choosing one storyline over the other, exploring a direction that doesn't quite end up where you want it to, adding something new that makes another piece obsolete. Of course, these are all rough pieces and it's really embarrassing to let people see them. I'm enduring the shame for three reasons. Firstly, humility is a virtue. Secondly, people loved the Twilight Outtakes so much, and I'm afraid they'll hurt me if I don't give them more. And finally (this is the real one), so many of you are writers, too. I think outtakes are most interesting from a writer's perspective. I'm hoping these might help some of you who are just getting started to be able to make sense of the editing process, and to be more ruthless self-editors. (Just because you love something doesn't mean it should stay in.) That said, I don't have as much material to share as I did with Twilight. When I wrote Twilight, I thought I was done. I wasn't planning a sequel. So I wrote all kinds of fluff, just so that I could live in Bella and Edward's world for a few more chapters. With New Moon, I knew where the story was going in the long run, and I wrote everything with a purpose. So this is what I have to share: a tiny exchange that shows how deleting one element can totally change the mood of a scene, an entire story line that ran from chapter six through chapter twenty before I slashed it out, and an alternate way of developing the plot. I read only the first book so far and I have to say I don't really like it. The writing style is too cheesy, the book could be shorter and there is not much going on, they talk too much about their big love and so on. Nothing special IMHO.

But the fact that it's an easy read makes it better IMO. I love that I can pick the book up time and again and reread it and love it everytime. It's a great story and I can't wait for the movie.

Yeah I like that its easy to read also, too many books are really complicated and confusing, but often i dont feel like thinking too much when i read, i read to relax! And twilight does that And its a love story, simply. It wouldnt make much sence if it was all action and them not actually talking at all... its the genre it is. But hey, its your opinion, not everyones going to like it because theres no chance of it fitting everyones taste, but to me- twilight is the perfect book, not so much the other 3, but the first book can do no wrong imo.

IT'S A FRICKING LOVE STORY!!!! What were you expecting them to say; "OMG i hate you so much! Let's be together forever"?? Nothing special? He's a fricking vampire! What on earth is special for you? If he sprouted wings and jumped back and forth in times? (that'd be soooo cool actualy) As for the writing style, it is written from a point of view of a girl in love so once again, she's not gonna go "OMG i hate you so much! Let's be together forever", is she? So i think a little bit of cheesiness is allowed, don't you? The book should not be any shorter!! It's got loads of brilliant scenes like the meadow and the baseball one! It gets right into it where some stories take a few chapters to set things up. I'm sure everyone can agree with me that Edward is a god!!! Honestly, every single girl wants to fall in love with him. Yes, he is self loathing but come on, a guy who is so full of himself is yeuch! I've dated wayyyyy too many of those (actually i dated wayyy too many guys full stop!) and i'd love to find a guy like Edward. By the way, this is what happens when you say you don't like a book on a fan board where everyone LOVESSSSSSSSSS it
