I don't know why but everyone has been so determined to be a Miley-hater. I'm neutral (team switzerland) when it comes to her because although she has done some stupid things (like those pics) she's nearly 16!! She's still a kid but most pople seem to have forgotten that. She's been doing Hannah Montana since she was 12 i think and growing up in the spotlight is a hard thing to do and she's trying her best.

Yeah, I agree with you!
I have to say that I don't really know her, so I can't say I hate her or anything.
My brother watches the show sometimes, but it's not really my favorite kind of show.

Miley's '7 Things' Is About Nick Jonas, Says Director
Despite its peppy beat and catchy pop hook, Miley Cyrus's "7 Things" was inspired by heartache. Sample lyric: "Your friends, they're jerks/ When you act like them, just know it hurts." And that’s just one of the seven things she "hates" about her unnamed ex.
So who's the guy? Brett Ratner, who directed the video, revealed to MTV that prior to solidifying the video's concept, he visited the singer's house and was shown "all of her personal items from under her bed that her ex-boyfriend gave her." (Among the mementos: "Dirty socks and a bunch of photographs.")
And although he never mentioned Cyrus's most famous ex, Nick Jonas, by name – the director does drop one major hint.
"The necklace she's wearing in the video is the necklace [the boy] gave her," Ratner told MTV. "She's wearing his diabetes or medical necklace." (Jonas – who split with Cyrus in late 2007 after two years of dating – has Type 1 diabetes and is a spokesperson for awareness of the disease.)
Back in July, Jonas insisted that the song couldn't be about him. "My friends aren't jerks," he told E!'s The Daily Ten.
For her part, the 15-year-old Cyrus recently told MTV that much of her record is about past relationships. "Most of my songs are for the girls who hate their current or ex-boyfriends," she explained.
"You can tell by the lyrics that they're very personal," Ratner added. "The stuff she talks about in the video is clever and emotional and fun at the same time."

Miley Cyrus to star in Disney film
Disney has set Miley Cyrus to star in an untitled film that is being tailor-made for the "Hannah Montana" star by author Nicholas Sparks.
Sparks is writing an untitled novel and simultaneously working on a screenplay adaptation for the film, which will be produced by Disney-based Offspring Entertainment partners Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot.
Tish Cyrus will be exec producer.
Gibgot said the project came about after Disney exec Jason Reed met with the actress, who is slowly broadening her image and transitioning to adult fare. She mentioned "A Walk to Remember" as an example of what she hoped for.
Sparks came back with a premise for a novel that intrigued Cyrus, her family and the producers. They are keeping the plot under wraps.
"A Walk to Remember" moved Mandy Moore away from a pop persona, and similarly, Cyrus won’t sing but only act in the Sparks drama that touches on family and romance.
Sparks told Daily Variety that his first priority is to generate a novel that stands up with his reading audience. The book will be published in fall 2009 by Grand Central Publishing.
"This is similar to the way it’s gone with movies based on my novels; it’s just out of order," Sparks said. "Certain opportunities garner your interest, and this was one of those."
Miley Cyrus and her family, he added, "were very familiar with the work I’ve done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together."
UTA repped Cyrus, Offspring and Sparks
The author’s books "The Notebook," "A Walk to Remember" and "Message in a Bottle" were previously turned into star-driven films, with the Richard Gere-Diane Lane starrer "Nights in Rodanthe" to be released by Warner Bros. on Sept. 26 and "Dear John" about to begin production.

Miley Cyrus Is Ready To ‘Bolt’
Miley Cyrus sits down with co-star John Travolta and talks with Entertainment Tonight on their new animated flick, Bolt.
John, 54, revealed in the interview that Miley, 15, reminds him of his former Grease co-star Olivia Newton-John. “The effect that Miley’s making globally is so huge. Like Olivia, she’s everybody’s fantasy,” he said.

P.S. And for the record, Miley is NOT dead. Someone hacked into Miley and Mandy Jiroux’s YouTube account posting a video that Miley was killed by a drunk driver. This is not the case. Mandy even confirmed it on her MySpace page, saying, “MILEY IS OK!! Some1 hacked our youtube account!”

Per usual, the video was hosted by Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz. Miley also made an appearance on the show.
