Well, I really love the Harry Potter books too!! And indeed the movies aren't so good as the books!! I can't wait till the next one comes out!! FINALLY!!! I'm going to read it in english, because I have to wait too long before the dutch version comes out!!
I also love the books of Nicholas Sparks: A walk to remember!! The Notebook The Rescue (I haven't read any other of him yet)
I also have a few dutch writers that I like. But those are more fun teenagebooks.

You are welcome Anna...
If you can you should also try to get Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. It's about an Amish girl in Amish country, that is being charged with murder, and she has to go to court in the real U.S. Court System...and it is a really good book-kind of educational about the Amish, and kind of a mystery because you don't know what is going to happen.

dave pelzer's books are about his childhood. he was treated very bad..... like you will cry.... in the first book, his mom starves him and it gets to the point where he steal food at school from other kids and his mom finds out and she everyday when he gets home makes him throw up and then when his dad gets home he has to reeat it. that is only the beginning of what he goes through in the books..... well his childhood.
its very sad. but they are some of the best books i have read.

That is cool...I have not read the Harry Potter books, but I love watching the movies which makes me think that one day I will sit down and read the books.
I like books that are made into movies, I like to nit-pick the differences in the two. It's fun.
Like A Walk to Remember---the movie was so much more different and dramatic than the book...the book was just good and romantic and sad.
