Stephen was a senior in the first season of the show. He was presented as a heartthrob and was the biggest part of the love triangle involving LC, Kristin and himself. He constantly lied to each of the girls about how he was and/or wasn't with the other, which caused a big fight. He was voted Life of the Party by his classmates.
He attended San Francisco State University in Season 2, where he majored in radio and television.
Stephen loves to skate, surf and play golf. He remains best friends with Trey Phillips, whom he has known since kindergarten, and Dieter Schmitz, whom he has known since year two.
As of December 2005, he is living with his friends Jason Wahler and Dieter Schmitz in Los Angeles. It is speculated that he is now attending Santa Monica College.
It is rumoured that his cousin, who is an even bigger player, may make a guest appearance in Season 3 of Laguna Beach.
He is now dating high school junior and teen-actress Hayden Panettiere, who appeared in "Raising Helen" and "Ice Princess".
Currently he is studying acting and no longer lives in San Francisco.
Stephen is also one of the VJ's on Total Request Live.
Stephen has one sister and one brother.

Stephen: Season Five:
There's been speculation about whether One Tree Hill will be back for a fifth season. Yes, the season will be back for season 5, which will take place after graduating college. Filming will begin July 16th in Wilmington, NC and will return midseason (in January 2008) on The CW and will contain between 13 and 22 episodes, which means there will be NO hiatuses. Yay!
Stephen has also stated that the writers have asked him to come back for season 5, but he has not accepted or declined as of yet due to scheduling conflicts that might come up if he gets casted in a bigger movie role.

Hayden P...she is an actress in the NBC show "Heros" and she has been in other movies too. One of her most recent movies has been "Racing Stripes" and "Bring it On: All or Nothing". She is a cute actress.

Yeah and now Hayden is with Milo...age difference...no comment.  To Stephen - I didn't like him on the show, in my opinion he was too childish for Brooke and this whole storyline that they were somehow soul mates because they both got hurt by close friends was far-fetched... The best line of Chase was in the last episode of season 4: Be gentle... I nearly spilled my tea out.  He will be back in season 5 and you might be surprised by what happens but he will be for on or two episodes only I think. |

I hope he comes back. I love Stephen! I watched Laguna Beach for him and LC! I hoped that they would get together and they never really did for good...SUCKS! Oh well. Nothing I can do about it now, just glad she is not with Jason anymore.
But anyways...I love Stephen's character Chase. I think it was what Brooke needed to escape some of the drama of high school, and he made her tell the truth. His love helped give her the courage to come clean and everything turned out alright in the end. I am glad he will be back, if only for one or two episodes.

I don't know about him in Laguna Beach, since I haven't watch that show, but I loved him in OTH too!!

Moving on...
I think he did well this episode, I hope to see more of him...but I think we know now that Brase maybe didn't end on great terms...or maybe it was a mutual thing...I would for sure like to know. He and Peyton would be cute I think...

Yeah, I would like to know how Brooke and Chase ended things, but I don't think that Chase will be in season 5 much more. I didn't thought he was that strong in the last episode!
And I didn't really liked him and Peyton either!

I guess they did loose touch after her graduation, you know? He said she should go and conquer the world and that if she is fulfiled he will be here...he let her go to fulfil her dream, you know? Probably they lost touch and all...
