Amber Brooke Wallace is an actress and musician. She appeared as Goth girl Glenda Farrell in four episodes of the TV series "One Tree Hill" and as a college student in the horror film "One Missed Call." Wallace also fronts her own band called The Amber Brooke Band. For more information about Amber, visit her OFFICIAL MYSPACE or her band’s MYSPACE page. What is something people might not know about you?I am a huge geek! I love to read comic books, watch Star Wars and I read about three books a week. What are your hobbies?Singing, acting, writing, reading, playing guitar and piano, and daydreaming. What would you consider to be your pet peeves?I hate when people are fake. It really bothers me, and I hate when people fall into their traps. Have you ever played a character who you thought was similar to you? If so, please explain. My character in The Marc Pease Experience (unreleased) is a lot like who I am in real life – sarcastic, witty, chill, too honest…but still a nice person. That's me. You played Glenda Farrell on the TV series "One Tree Hill." What was that experience like?My first time filming was very brief, so I wasn't able to really get the full experience. When they asked me to come back on the show I was able to meet everyone and experience the set a little better. I have to say, it was probably one of the most friendly casts and crews that I have ever worked with. It was so fun! How did you get involved in acting? Music? My mother enrolled me in an acting class when I was little because I said I wanted to be a movie star. I met my first manager in that class and she told me she wanted to represent me! I booked my first audition and the rest, as they say, is history. As for music, I used to stand up on the hearth in our living room in my dad's socks and use a hairbrush as a microphone and sing! When I was 10 I wrote my first song and when I was 14 my dad and I went into the studio and recorded it! I got hooked, and here I am! If you weren't an actress and a musician, then what career would you pursue?I would be a writer. I am pursuing that career as well. Are you active in any charities and if so, which ones? Some of my proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Foundation. What celebrities would you like to meet?I would love to meet Brandon Boyd (lead singer of Incubus) and Jemaine Clement (from Flight of the Conchords). Where haven't you traveled that you would like to go?I haven't ever been out of the country (Tijuana does not count). I would really like to go to Scotland because I am Scottish. Do you have any superstitions (or know of any that stick out)?I am an avid believer in astrology and tarot card readings. Also I believe heavily in karma or The Secret (if anyone has read the book or seen that movie). What inspires you?Talented people, beautiful music, kindness, getting the right smile from the right person, a really good cup of coffee, laughing until my stomach hurts and intellectually stimulating conversations. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?Hopefully as a successful actor, musician or writer. Successful enough to make a living to support myself and still be in love with what I do. I would also like to be married and have kids. Anything you would like to add? Please support your local music scene. If you know local or indie bands and you like their music, go to their shows and buy their CDs and merchandise. Help promote them. Help someone reach their dreams. Help change someone's life.
