Jitzul's interview with Bevin Prince. Many people will recognize Bevin Prince as playing the sweet and kind-of-crazy cheerleader Bevin Mirskey on The CW's hit show "One Tree Hill". But Bevin has appeared in other TV shows as well as movies. She can be seen in the new movie "Redefining Love" opposite Jodie Sweetin and Tim Woodward, Jr. You can visit Bevin's WEBSITE for more information. So now that the new year has arrived, what sort of plans do you have percolating in regards to your career?Ah, 2009! I love the promise and hope that comes with a new year! I try not to make plans however. I have a lot of faith that things will find me, if I wait with an open heart! Right now it is a lot of auditioning in LA and I am starting a new writing class next month...so we'll see. You were a guest star on the TV series "House." What was that experience like overall?I was so nervous because it was the first television show I worked on other than "One Tree Hill" and I am such a huge fan. Every free minute I had I was behind the monitor watching Hugh Laurie work, trying to soak up some of his greatness! I spent 3 hours in makeup one day in order to look like a building had collapsed on me. I was terrified to look in the mirror. They make it look so real!!! It was truly an amazing experience to watch such phenomenal actors and work with such a caring crew. There is a vast difference between acting on a television show and acting in a full-length film. Do you have a preference between the two?I think I prefer television, it is what I feel most comfortable doing and its nice to know you have a job for longer than 3 months!!! If you could choose a single person to co-star with, who would it be? Who do you feel you would have the most on-screen chemistry with?I would love to work with Reese Withersthingy! I think she is so endearing on screen. I would hope that some of that might rub off on me! As far as on screen chemistry...John Krasinski and I have great chemistry in my dreams! I think I'm in love. Many actors begin their career as a dream. They are inspired by those who have come before them and strive to join their idols in the spotlight. Is there a particular actor that particularly inspired your career choice?I was inspired more by a teacher of mine, Randall Lathan. He was one of my high school English teachers and he taught me to love stories. He used to read to us and act out Hemingway. Stories came to life when Mr. Lathan told them and that was what I looked forward to everyday. He is the reason I decided I wanted to pursue acting. It seems many actors, especially those just starting their careers, often make career-oriented goals. Professionally, where do you see yourself in 10 years?I dont know what I am going to do for dinner tonight much less where I will be in 10 years!!! Ha. I have found that [when] you wake up and get on the board everyday, the wave will take you where you are going. You recently graduated with a degree in Film Studies. Have you found that this degree has helped your acting career? Why or why not?I do feel a degree was very helpful to me. For one, I learned all about the production side of film and television making. That, I hope, has made me a more conscious actor, conscious of peoples' time, peoples' money, and all of the work that is involved in making an actor look their best. What are you currently working on? Do you have any exciting new ventures in the works and when can we expect to see them?I am working on a Web Series called 110th St. Lift and as soon as we are done I will definitely let bevinprince.net know where to find it!!! In your opinion, what do you think every actor should possess?Humility. In your opinion, what are the most common mistakes aspiring actors seem to make? They take themselves too seriously!!! We are all here playing dress-up not curing cancer. What advice would you give aspiring actors?Continue acting everyday. Do not sit around and wait for a job to come to you. Make your own work and you will remain happy! Source: Jitzul.com
