There is more information about the Writer's Strike. This is what I just read:
According to Kristin @ Watch With Kristin, the strike will probably last around two - three more weeks but if it doesnt end by then, tv seasons in general will most likely be over.

Yeah, I hope so too! It's awful how all these shows stop because of the strike and it's going on for so long already. So it would be great if it's over soon!!

Currently there are reports that the strike is over. However, don't let these headlines mis-lead you.
The strike could POSSIBLY be over as of early next week. It seems a deal has been reached BUT... the writers have to review it on Saturday and approve it.
The former chief of Disney, Michael Eisner, declared Thursday that the writers' strike was "over" and that a deal had been reached last weekend while appearing on a talk show.
"They (studios and writers) made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. It's going on Saturday to the writers in general" for agreement.
Eisner was apparently referring to scheduled meetings New York and in Los Angeles between writers and the Writers Guild scheduled for tomorrow. He added, "A deal has been made. They'll be back to work very soon. I know it's over."
If all goes well, the boards of the Writers Guild of America West and the Writers Guild of America East could end their walkout as early as next week, allowing production of most television dramas and comedies to resume and tens of thousands of people to return to work.
However, a WGA representative said, "The strike is NOT over. As you know, we are under a press blackout, but I can tell you that the strike is NOT over."
Now remember... there are NO current plans for OTH to go back into production. I am sure a decision will be made shortly after the strike ends for OTH.

Okay, this is what the writers say themself about what will happen with the shows if the writers strike ends soon: ONE TREE HILL Executive Producer Mark Schwahn Says: "Although we have six new episodes left, no one is more excited about the end of the strike than we are at One Tree Hill. With our four-year jump ahead, we're having an outstanding year creatively, and despite standing alone on Tuesdays, our numbers are routinely second only to Smallville for scripted dramas at the CW. We'd love the opportunity to continue season five, and if the WGA's new contract is ratified, hopefully we'll be able to do just that. If not, we'll see you for season six." What We're Hearing: The See-Dub has requested five or six more eps to finish out this season! GOSSIP GIRL AND CHUCKExecutive Producer Josh Schwartz: "If the strike is over, then on behalf of Chuck and Gossip Girl we are all thrilled to get back to work. Both shows will be back for more episodes—when, I can't quite say, though Gossip Girl will most likely be on as soon as possible. Chuck may not be back until fall to relaunch with Heroes, or it may be back sooner, but both will be back!" What We're Hearing: Umm...Ditto what Schwartz says. Expect lots more Gossip Girl this season (the CW is crazy for this show and has requested as many as nine additional episodes to air this season), while Chuck is likely to return in the fall for its second season. So that means that probably both shows will come back this season, and if OTH doesn't return this season, we will probably have a season SIX!!!! The whole article is here

Yeah, I just wish that we would have a complete season 5, so 22 episodes, instead of 18, but it might give us a season 6, so that's better!!
