Taylor Swift - CMA Awards 2008Taylor Swift shines in a sequin and crystal Kaufman Franco gown, with Christian Louboutin shoes and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz at the 2008 CMA Awards at the Sommet Center on Wednesday night in Nashville, Tenn. The 18-year-old Fearless singer recently sat down with Extra and told Mario Lopez that it was a personal goal to write songs about her exes. “It’s sort of a personal goal for me to make songs so personal and so obvious, that if all my ex-boyfriends were to sit down and listen to my album, they would figure out which song is about them,” she said. Taylor is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMAs (Carrie Underwood claimed the prize). She also performed her hit songs “Love Story” and “Should’ve Said No” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday. Take a glimpse of the show below: Source: JJ, Click here for more photos!

Taylor Swift Admits Joe Jonas Left Her for "Lovebug" Actress
Taylor Swift is unfazed that her ex Joe Jonas is already dating actress Camilla Belle, who starred in his "Lovebug" video.
"They've been together since we broke up," Swift told Usmagazine.com at Wednesday's CMA Awards in Nashville. "That's why we broke up - because he met her."
The 18-year-old singer -- who recently revealed how Jonas dumped her in a 27-second phone call -- added, "We don't talk."
So how does Swift get over her exes?
"Write songs about it," said Swift, who penned the tune "Always and Forever" about her split with Jonas.
Do guys ever get intimated by that?
"I think they are starting to realize that if they are involved with me in any way, I will probably write a song about them," she added. "You know what, if they don't want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn't do bad things."
A guy who could do no wrong? Justin Timberlake.
He recently surprised Swift on a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"I just couldn't believe he was there!" Swift told Us. "He is absolutely my favorite person on the planet. For her to invite Justin Timberlake to come and be there to celebrate my album release week, it just says a lot about who Ellen is and how amazing she is."

Taylor Swift: My Dress Weighed about 400 Pounds
Country cutie Taylor Swift finally had a minute to spare in her busy schedule to post an entry on her MySpace. She had so much to share about the 2008 CMA Awards!
She shared, “In other fashion news, my red carpet dress weighed about 400 pounds. Actually, about 30. But it was still heavy. It was like dragging around two small children, dangling from my ankles. And it made a lovely jangling noise whenever I walked. It was made out of huge jewels, platinum chips, and other metal-ish things that would fall off at random intervals throughout the night.. and my dad would reach down and pick each one up and say “Ebay.” Whenever people would ask me what it was made of, I’d just say I broke a mirror, dipped myself in glue, and rolled around in it.”
Taylor even met her idol, Shania Twain! “But the real moment that brought on this wave of gratitude was when Shania Twain HERSELF walked up and introduced herself to me. Shania Twain, as in.. The reason I wanted to do this in the first place. Shania Twain, as in.. the most impressive and independent and confident and successful female artist to ever hit country music. She walked up to me and said she wanted to meet me and tell me I was doing a great job. She was so beautiful, guys. She really IS that beautiful. All the while, I was completely star struck. After she walked away, I realized I didn’t have my camera. Then I cried.”

Taylor Swift is Thumbs-Down-ishTaylor Swift created a new word as she sat down with Blender magazine and talked about her new album, her crystal Sharpie and the most interesting gift she’s ever gotten from a fan. Check it out: On writing about her exes: “I think it’s kind of fun to call out your ex-boyfriends. Like why do this if you’re not gonna take the opportunity to always have the last word. It’s so much fun.” On celebrities being fans: “When I first met Miley Cyrus she came up to me and said, ‘I’ve been listening to your CD all week.’ I was like ‘that’s awesome.’ I just didn’t expect that. And at the VMAs, Paris Hilton came up to me and said that she was a fan of my music and listened to it a lot.” On her most interesting gift from a fan: “The most interesting I’ve ever gotten was a turtle shell that was painted with a portrait of me on it.” The interview: justjaredjr.buzznet.com/2008/11/14/taylor-swift-is-thumbs-down-ish/Source: JJJ

Taylor Swift is a CNN HeroTaylor Swift keeps it classy in a jaw-droppingly gorgeous Trina Turk “Astra” dress at the second annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute at the Kodak Theatre on Saturday in Hollywood. The 18-year-old country cutie finished off her look with Armani peep-toes, Neil Lane jewels and a simple black VBH clutch. Although Taylor didn’t present an award at the ceremony, she just really wanted to attend this event since it honored ‘real-people heroes.’ Taylor was spotted hanging out backstage with pal Selena Gomez. They both laughed over the fact that they both were wearing similar dresses. White tops and black skirts! Source: JJJ

Taylor Swift Takes Final CosmoGirl Cover!Taylor Swift’s heartshaped hands cover the December issue of CosmoGirl where she’s honored as “The Phenomenon” in the mag’s 2008 Born to Lead Awards. The 18-year-old songbird posed on Central Park’s benches and told the mag about why she writes songs about her previous relationships and what it really means to be a role model for young girls everywhere. Here’s what Taylor had to say: On the Country Music Capital: “I looked up Nashville and learned it was this amazing city where country music lived. I was like, ‘That’s the promised land of country music. That’s where I need to go!’” On being a role model: “When a mom says to me, ‘You’re an incredible role model for my daughter,’ that’s the best compliment you could give me because it’s about my character, which to me is the biggest honor.” On the best advice she’s ever gotten: “Faith Hill told me at the Country Music Awards and I was in these awesome high-heeled shoes but they really hurt. I was going up to present an award, and I whispered to Faith, ‘My feet hurt so bad!’ She goes, ‘Take ’em off!’ I was like, well, Faith Hill told me to, so I took off my shoes and carried them in my hand. She taught me that I don’t have to take everything so seriously.” Check out her full interview in the December issue of CosmoGirl, out on newsstands now!
