Theres a casting call thats been released, apparently its from a reliable source.. It's interesting if this is real, because it means that they are replacing Embry and Sam!! I mean i know they didnt really have big parts, and werent named in the film.. but still... Plus, notice how Aro isn't listed  I'm really hoping that means good news for Ben Barnes as Aro! I really want him for the part! And Leah also isnt listed, but theres loads of rumours about Vanessa Hudgens playing her! Thats not good.. i mean i have nothing against her, but she really wouldnt be right for the part!! Leahs supposed to be really tough, tomboy-ish and mean, and not trying to sound mean.. but Vanessa can only really do the 'cutsey' nice girl type roles.. Anyway heres the list.. Okay, I don't get it anymore.
Who is Leah?? I read somewhere that she is a werewolf and heartbroken, but I can't remember her! Is she Sam's fiancee or what?
I guess I missed something... somewhere...

Seeing as they are filming New moon and Eclipse back to back thats why they are casting Leah now.. Have you read eclipse? She doesnt really become an known character until that book, and its in Breaking dawn that she becomes more of an important one and is in the central plot.. But yeah, your pretty much right  Shes the only female werewolf and used to be Sams fiancee, but he imprinted on Emily so went with her (Emily's the one who he scarred the face of, i think thats mentioned in new moon) - hence why shes heartbroken |

Okay, I get it now!
I haven't read Eclipse, so that's why I didn't know! I never heard of her before and wondered if I had something wrong or missed something, but it's clear now.
And that back to back thing, does that means that the whole storyline will be filmed or what? I'm not sure anymore.

I'm pretty sure the storylines will be seperate, it will be two movies just like the books They're just doing what the LOTR movies did and filming them back to back, i think its because of the actors aging-when-they-have-to-still-play-the-same-age thing lol And so if they also do breaking dawn it means they will only be filming for 3 years, instead of four if they just filmed one a year |

Rep says the High School Musical star auditioning for New Moon is just a rumour…
Vanessa Hudgens did not audition for Twilight sequel New Moon, according to her rep.
The 20-year-old High School Musical star reportedly auditioned for the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater, Jacob Black’s feisty and heartbroken frienemy.
But Vanessa’s rep tells JustJaredJr.com: ‘I don’t know anything about the audition - As far as I know, it’s just a rumour.’

It's just a rumor! At least that's what the New Moon screenwriter says!
When scribe Melissa Rosenberg was asked if VaneXXXa Hudgens has indeed auditioned for the role of Leah, she answered:
"…if Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em. "
Yup, Leah is not going to be in the movie version of Twilight!
Furthermore, E.W. reports that studio insiders AND people in Hudgens' camp have debunked the casting buzz.

I don't mind that the storyline from Leah doesn't start in New Moon yet, since she isn't in the book either!
It would make sense!
So I hope that this is true and they wait with Leah till Eclipse!

Phew! I'm glad Vanessa wont be in it! Lol.
But i just read an article on IMDB, it had quotes from Lindsay Lohan saying how much she loves the books. She has also said that she's been ringing up summit begging for an audition because she wants to be in New moon. Apparently they havent given her one... Lol. Dear god help us if Lindsay ends up in New moon.. haha.
Anyway.. I'll try and find that article now!

It's possible. I can exclusively report that the 14-year-old child star—she turns 15 on Feb. 23—is in talks to play Jane opposite Robert Pattinson & Co. in New Moon, the upcoming sequel to box office megahit Twilight.
“There were no auditions,” a source reveals. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.”
Jane is a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series.
In the casting notice we got our hands on earlier this month, Jane is described as a petite blonde with a “Botticelli angel-like face…[and] crimson irises.” While fellow Volturi guards Demetri & Felix “are three times the size of her, they are terrified of her,” the casting notice reads.
Coincidentally (or maybe not), an online petition started by a Twilight fan already asks the studio, Summit Entertainment, to cast Fanning because she would be “perfect” for the role.

I think she is pretty young to play Jane! At age of 15 you can't possible have the attitude to let everyone be scared of you! But that's my idea! We will see, I will think about it more when they have confirmed it!

I think Jane is supposed to be that age though I'm not sure where it was mentioned, but somewhere in one of the four books it says that her and Alec were changed when they were children.. so I think she is meant be about 14/15 But yeah it will be weird seeing someone so young being able to 'scare' everyone else in the film |

I didn't think so at first, but the more news we get, the more I believe in him! I think it started when the news came out that Taylor stayed! That proofed that he was in the best interest with the movie, and the movie as sequel to Twilight!

OMG, I'm actually in shock.. NEW MOON: UK release date"E1 Entertainment are pleased to announce the UK release of "New Moon" on 27 November 2009" Source- Lion_lamb LJ Seriously... one week after the US?!? This is so amazing, I must be dreaming. I hope- no I pray that this is true! ;D If it is I wont need avoid twilight fan sites (and youtube!) for a month like last year! Haha. Admittedly this release date does make sence considering the popularity, plus how it doesnt even need any editing because of no language barriers etc... I still dont understand why we had a months wait with twilight! I'm still surprised though, i thought they would be evil to us again! |
